At Macromed, we are proud to offer the Q-Flow Surgical Light, designed and manufactured by Merivaara, Finland—a global leader in surgical innovation. Q-Flow is engineered to significantly reduce the risk of infection in operating rooms by optimizing airflow dynamics during surgical procedures.

Traditional surgical lights tend to disrupt laminar airflow, increasing turbulence and the spread of airborne contaminants. In contrast, Q-Flow’s aerodynamic design maintains proper ventilation and minimizes particle circulation in the surgical field. With a turbulence intensity of just 15.9%, far below the medical standard of 37.5%, it ensures a cleaner, safer environment for both the patient and surgical team.
